Duncarron Medieval Village, Denny, FK6 5JL, Scotland
When following the route, we recommend travelling through Denny, as the route through Kilsyth is very narrow, steep, and winding.
The closest train stations are Stirling, Cumbernauld, and Camelon. These stations are around 30 minutes drive from site. There are no buses that pass Duncarron.
Accommodation
We encourage people to camp in-character if you have an appropriate tent for the setting. This helps us make the village look populated, and we love to see what decorations and dressings you adorn your camp with.
Out of character camping is avaliable by the crew area. Please note this is near a public footpath, so take care when leaving valuables behind.
If you don't want to stay on site, several hotels can be found in and around Stirling, Denny, Falkirk, and beyond.
Facilities
It's important to note there is no running water or electricity at Duncarron, so prepare appropriately. Bring bottled water, portable chargers, etc.
The area has incredibly poor mobile phone signal with the majority of network providers. We recommend downloading offline maps for travel.
Portaloo toilets will be located near the in-character area. Public toilets are located by the out-of-character and crew area.
Fires are allowed as long as they are out in the open and raised off of the floor. Fires must not be inside buildings or under shelters due to many roofs being made of straw and other flammable materials.
Accessibility
We aim to provide at least one disabled toilet with the portaloos we hire, and keep them in an easy-to-access location close to the player area.
If you struggle with mobility, please note some areas of Duncarron are quite steep and may be difficult to traverse. We make every effort to make our event as accesible as possible, so please contact us if you have any concerns or enquiries so we can advise or make any possible adjustments.
